Frankfurt – It was one of the most famous and beautiful workshops for Jaguar classic cars in Germany. It burned down on Tuesday evening with countless historic English classic cars in there. A man was rescued from the burning hall and had to go to the clinic.
The workshop in Frankfurt’s Solmsstrasse (Bockenheim) looked like it had fallen out of time, like a little piece of England in the middle of Frankfurt. A small single-storey stone building in a vacant lot opposite the monstrous Mainova building. The workshop has existed since 1974 and has hardly changed.
Inside was a huge Union Jack flag, including famous jaguars from pre and post-war times. Mark 2, Mark V, Mark X, E-Type.
On Tuesday evening at 7.45 p.m. the fire broke out for an unexplained cause. “The building and the vintage cars in the workshop were destroyed,” the fire brigade said.
How severe the injuries to the rescued person are and whether his life is in danger is unclear.
