Accident: Coach with Ukrainian refugees crashed

Schwerin – On Sunday morning, a coach carrying 41 Ukrainian war refugees crashed on the A 24 autobahn between the Wöbbelin and Hagenow junctions in the direction of Hamburg.

The Danish coach left the road to the right around 6 a.m. for reasons that have not yet been clarified, and stopped there.

“At the time, there were 41 Ukrainian refugees on board on their way from Poland to Padborg in Denmark,” said a police spokesman on Sunday.

Fortunately, none of the occupants were injured.

The bus company wants to ensure onward transport until 2 p.m. Until then, the passengers in the Schremheide car park will be looked after by the DRK support train from the Ludwigslust-Parchim district.

Tents and seating as well as food and drinks are available there.

The recovery of the bus is imminent. For this purpose, the A 24 will be temporarily closed.
