WhatsApp Upcoming Features: WhatsApp has reportedly started rolling out beta updates for the new Windows app. The update brings the version of the app up to 2.2203.3. According to a report, the Facebook-owned platform is improving some elements of the user interface by bringing animations with the beta update. According to the report, WhatsApp is adding a small animation to the settings icon at the top for beta users. After the UWP 2.2201.2 update, some elements of the app have started to follow the rules from Windows UI Library 2.7, followed by animations.
According to the report, beta users will be able to see a new animation on tapping on the WhatsApp Settings icon after installing the update. It is worth noting that users will see another animation while navigating between WhatsApp settings. While this may seem like a minor update, this is the second beta update for the platform with a new user interface. This indicates that the company may bring more UI changes in the coming updates.
WhatsApp released a new app for the Windows operating system a few months back. The app is largely based on the web version of the platform and is available to download from the Microsoft Store. It is based on Universal Windows Platform (UWP), which means the app is able to sync in the background and receive notifications even when it is not running.
Recently, the company also introduced a new feature that allows users to pause and resume voice recording. This feature is only available for WhatsApp Web users who are in beta program. Previously, WhatsApp Web Beta users had the facility to listen to voice notes before sending them. It is being said that the new update will be in addition to that feature.
