Veterinary students without smocks: cowgirls naked on the cow


Milk cow Lotte is grazing comfortably on a meadow in Rosenheim, Bavaria, when a horde of naked students walks towards her. Schwups, a student is already sitting on Lotte’s back. “I could sit on Lotte really well. She is used to it, and the farmers’ children do it too, ”says Hannah Ohrem (25).

The veterinary student can be photographed for the Veti calendar 2022 “Under the smocks”. Naked with a cow. “It was strange in the beginning. You all know the fellow students from the lecture hall or from a party. But then to stand naked in front of them is something else again, ”she says.

A total of 26 students pull blank. All of them are studying veterinary medicine at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and are in their 11th semester – the final year. With the Selling the calendars (25 euros, including postage), the Nackedeis want to top up their final fund and donate it to animal welfare organizations (Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel and Gnadenhof Anna). “That was the crucial point for me to take part,” says Hannah Ohrem.

The calendar has almost become a cult at the faculty, says the prospective veterinarian. “We are already the third year to drop our smocks.”

In addition to the cow Lotte, snakes, bearded dragons, raccoons and camels become calendar stars. The students pose for a photo for around three hours. “We calmly try out different positions and see what the animals are up to, what looks good in pictures,” says Hannah.

Hannah Ohrem does not wrap the nude calendar as a Christmas present. “My whole family ordered the calendar super hastily,” she says and laughs.
