The third corona wave is flattening out, the vaccination is progressing and the desire for vacation increases! In addition to vacationing in Germany, I am slowly starting to think of a break away from home. But where is vacation possible and where not?
No club visits for Mallorca tourists: The night curfew (11 p.m. to 6 a.m.) remains. “Only with a higher vaccination rate can we reopen the nightlife,” says Prime Minister Francina Armengol. Means: “Probably not this summer anymore.”
What you need to know now for your vacation:
SPAIN Mandatory: negative PCR test upon entry and exit (not older than 72 hours). No advantages for vaccinated and convalescent people. Mask compulsory also outdoors. The Federal Foreign Office warns against traveling to the mainland (Catalonia).
EGYPT The Federal Foreign Office advises against taking vacation. Anyone who travels anyway needs a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours). Returnees have to be in quarantine for 10 days.
PORTUGAL According to current Portuguese law, tourist trips from Germany are not permitted until May 16. Exception: Madeira and the Azores. A negative PCR test is required here upon entry (not older than 72 hours).
NETHERLANDS The government asks to refrain from entering the country. Anyone who comes anyway: negative PCR test, ten days quarantine. No privileges for vaccinated people.
TURKEY The Federal Foreign Office warns against tourist travel. If you do come, you need a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours) to travel by air, land and sea. Shops for daily needs are open. Tourists are allowed to move freely (there are no exit restrictions for them). On return: compulsory test and 10 days quarantine (free testing possible after 5 days).
DENMARK Fully vaccinated people are allowed to enter the country without a test or quarantine. Recovered and non-vaccinated persons need a valid reason for the trip, a negative PCR test (not older than 48 hours) and must be in quarantine for 10 days. On return: 10 days quarantine.
ITALY To this day, the following applies when entering the country: negative PCR test, five days quarantine. As of Sunday (16th), the quarantine will be discontinued. On return: compulsory test.
AUSTRIA Entry possible since Thursday (13th) without quarantine. Prerequisite: vaccinated, tested (PCR not older than 72 hours) or recovered. All travelers must register electronically. Curfew from 10pm to 5am. Gastronomy inside and outside open with conditions. On return: compulsory test.
