It is her first trip abroad as Vice President of the United States – and problems arose soon!
The government aviator of US Vice Kamala Harris (56) had to return to the airport shortly after take-off on Sunday. Reason: a technical problem.
Accompanying journalists reported an unusual noise at the start. Apparently there were worries on board. After the ordered landing, the Harris said to reporters, “We all said a little prayer, but we’re fine.”
The landing was “completely normal”, reported the traveling journalists.
Less than half an hour after taking off from the Andrews military airfield near Washington, spokeswoman Symone Sanders (31) said that the plane would have to return to the airport and be changed.
On Monday and Tuesday, Harris’ trip to Guatemala and Mexico will focus on migration and economic cooperation.
US President Joe Biden (78) has tasked Harris with taking the lead in curbing migration to the USA.
