Holte-Stukenbrock Castle (North Rhine-Westphalia) – What a terrible tragedy!
While working in the garden of an agricultural property in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock (Gütersloh district), a child was run over by a small excavator and killed on Friday. According to neighbors, it should be a two-year-old girl.
Apparently a family member had driven the excavator.
The emergency call reached the district control center at 6:25 p.m. Rescue workers and ambulance rush to the scene immediately. The rescue helicopter Christoph 13 was also requested.
For more than half an hour, the rescue workers fought for the life of the toddler. Without success! Despite attempts at resuscitation, it still died on the spot.
How the accident came about is still unknown. The Kripo started the investigation on site. Because the proceedings are ongoing, the police did not provide any further information.
Relatives and family of the child were looked after by emergency pastors.
