THE KING’S MAN: bid for a great fan package

They are smart, stylish and master every trick, no matter how unusual: in THE KING’S MAN – THE BEGINNING (now in the cinema) the most extraordinary secret agents in the world come back to the big screen!

In his prehistory of the legendary secret service, Matthew Vaughn unleashes a firework of grandiose ideas and wild action around the founder Duke of Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) and his son Conrad (Harris Dickinson). The two closest confidants are Polly (Gemma Arterton) and Shola (Djimon Hounsou), whose jobs with nanny and butler would be described far too briefly – boss of the house and battle-hardened friend and advisor is better.

Many other characters are based on actual people from contemporary history who appear in a completely new light in Matthew Vaughn’s colorful action spectacle with surprising twists – from Rasputin (Rhys Ifans), the mad monk and schemer at the Russian tsar’s court, to the legendary dancer and spy Mata Hari to Kaiser Wilhelm II, King George V and Tsar Nikolaus II (all three played by Tom Hollander) as well as the German impostor and magician Erik Jan Hanussen (Daniel Brühl).
