The cause fled the police: Five dead in an accident near New York

The four victims were only 18 years old and had just finished school. Now they are dead.

Tragic accident, of all times at Christmas. On the night of Christmas Eve, a man in New York on the run from the police caused an accident with a total of five dead.

The driver himself was among the fatally injured, the police said. In the suburb of Yonkers, the man disregarded a red traffic light and crashed into a vehicle coming from the right at such high speed that it was torn in two.

The four inmates were thrown out of the car and, according to police reports, were immediately dead. The victims had only finished school a few months ago, according to a condolence statement from the city’s public schools. The 36-year-old driver involved in the accident died a little later in the hospital.
