The Zoe will finally have some reinforcements. The flagship car of Renault in terms of electric mobility is about to complete a remarkable year 2020, with 51,000 copies sold in Europe from January to the end of August, according to German analyst Matthias Schmidt – a market share of 16.1% which places it ahead Tesla’s Model 3. But this dependence on a single model becomes perilous when the offerings of the competitors become more powerful. The group at Le Losange therefore presented two new vehicles on Thursday intended to expand its 100% electric catalog in the medium term.
The first model to arrive in dealerships next spring will be the Dacia Spring Electric, a small city car faithful to the low cost positioning of the brand which is becoming a pillar of the group in the new organization designed by Luca de Meo. The price was not disclosed, but Renault announces it as “Unbeatable”, and it should flirt with the 10,000 € mark once the aid has been deducted, if the specialized press is to be believed.
