Reliance Jio has launched two new prepaid recharge plans for its customers which will let them watch IPL 2022 tournament for free. The company in partnership with OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar has launched affordable prepaid plans priced at Rs 555 and Rs 2999 that offer DisneyPlus Hotstar subscription at no extra cost.
The new Rs 555 and Rs 2999 plans are different from Jio’s list of existing cricket plans. The cheapest plan in the list costs Rs 499 and goes up to Rs 3119. The new plans of Rs 555 and Rs 2999 can be availed only by those who are on any Jio Active plan for the last 28 consecutive days. These plans are available for prepaid Jio subscribers.
The Rs 555 Jio plan is basically a data-on plan, which means it offers you additional data over your existing current plan and does not include any calling or SMS benefits. Jio says that this plan is primarily for watching cricket and you must have a separate existing plan to take advantage of it.
Talking about the new plan, you get 1GB daily data for 55 days, along with 12 months subscription to select Jio apps and DisneyPlus Hotstar. Once you exhaust your daily data limit, your download speed will be reduced to 64Kbps. However, note that the Hotstar membership is only for mobiles and not for TVs or laptops.
