Stuttgart – Even if the state-wide seven-day incidence in Baden-Württemberg has torn the critical 50 mark again, Health Minister Manne Lucha is in favor of opening steps.
For example, trade needs prospects, said the Green politician on Monday on Deutschlandradio. On Sunday, the Corona value in the southwest, according to the State Health Office, was 51.9 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week.
Baden-Württemberg was already on the threshold of 40. According to Lucha, the increase in the past few days is due to the mutations. “We watch it with concern and with great meticulousness and caution,” he said to the radio station.
Nevertheless, targeted, transparent opening steps are necessary. He referred to a paper by Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens), which should be discussed on Wednesday at the next federal-state meeting.
The minister spoke out against lifting any restrictions on those entitled to vaccinate for the Astrazeneca vaccine. There is still a shortage of vaccines. From the middle of the second quarter, however, enough vaccine should be available that medical practices could be supplied with it and one million vaccinations per week would be possible, said Lucha.
The supply chains have also become more routine. “We assume that what we are promised will also come.”
