Dortmund – After the chaos at Dortmund Airport, the bitter realization follows: There were six corona infected people on board the last plane from Great Britain!
According to a city spokeswoman on Tuesday, they were not residents of the city, which is why the relevant health authorities at home and abroad were informed about the infections.
All travelers are still in quarantine at home. Even those with negative test results must initially remain isolated, said the spokeswoman.
Air traffic from Great Britain and South Africa was banned on Sunday due to a dreaded mutation of the corona virus. NRW had put the quarantine regulation back into force for both of them.
Accordingly, there is a compulsory corona test for travelers from there. Rapid tests of the landed passengers from the island in Düsseldorf were all negative. Two passenger planes also landed at Cologne / Bonn Airport on Sunday.
According to initial findings by British scientists, the mutation discovered in Great Britain could be up to 70 percent more contagious than the previously known form. The new variant has already been discovered in other countries.
