HSV Hamburg: Lukas Ossenkopp is annoyed with league boss Frank Bohmann

The search for the new living room continues to be difficult for the HSV handball players.

The Hamburg sports hall, built in 1968, has a roof damage, should actually be torn down and make way for a new piece of jewelery. But not possible! The hall is a listed building and is to be partially or fully renovated in the next two years. Whether the planned reopening in autumn 2022 can be held – more than questionable!

“We are not yet concerned with the topic in the dressing room,” says captain Lukas Ossenkopp before the duel against Wilhelmshaven on Sunday (5 p.m., sportdeutschland.tv).

What worries the 28-year-old family man more and makes him mad is the criticism of HBL managing director Frank Bohmann (56) that the clubs implement the hygiene concepts too laxly. Most recently, seven teams were in quarantine.

Bohmann at SID: “We absolutely have to adhere to the preventive measures. There is a feeling of fatigue, the players have to stick to the rules, we have to admonish them to do so. ”A sweeping blow! He hits everyone. Even those who behave in an exemplary manner.

Ossenkopp: “When I hear that, I get angry. We are all very disciplined. I think it’s cheeky to assume that the club and the players let it slide. ”As a reminder: HSV last had a positive case in October.

The HSV captain continues: “I would also have no problem doing a PCR test more than three times a week. But one thing is also clear: certain contacts in team sport cannot be prevented. “
