Animal justice in England!
Brighton and Hove (England) – Because Steve B. – known as the “Brighton Cat Killer” – killed nine cats and injured seven others, he is now in prison for five years and three months.
A court in the district of Brighton and Hove on the English Channel imposed the sentence on the cat killer on Friday for “criminal damage to property”. This criminal offense also includes murders of pets.
The 54-year-old, who worked for a security company, was found guilty a month ago. He attacked the cats with a knife between October 2018 and June 2019. The crimes caused a sensation and outrage among the animal-loving British. The man’s motive: still unclear.
The “cat killer” was ultimately convicted via recordings of a private surveillance camera that a man had set up after a fatal attack on his own animal. It shows Steve B. obviously attacking a cat.
The 54-year-old rejected the allegations during interrogation, but the police found, among other things, a photo of a killed cat on his cell phone. Judge Jeremy Gold described his behavior as particularly “cruel”. Bouquet also hit the families in the “heart”. The judge suspects that the former seaman may have more cats on his conscience.
