German doctor fakes PCR certificates for money – test chaos on Mallorca

Mallorca Sun, clouds, 21 degrees. With perfect Easter holiday weather, the German Mallorca travelers were able to forget the rigors of the corona pandemic for a few days. Only shortly before the return flight did reality catch up with many!

Instead of relaxing one last time on the almost empty beach, they stood in line for hours in front of the test stations.

Goodbye, relaxation!

“We got in line at the Juaneda Muro Clinic at 7:30 am. Twelve people were already waiting, ”says Erika Maria Auer (24) from Chemnitz. After three hours of waiting – partly because so many forms had to be filled out – and the payment of 30 euros each, she and her friend Sebastian (29) only got the negative result in the afternoon: “Now we are sure that we will get on the plane . “

On Tuesday, Germany ordered mandatory testing for all return travelers.

Because the negative test result can be a maximum of 48 hours old upon arrival, there was a rush at some test stations and fully booked appointments. Apparently a German doctor took advantage of this.

According to research by RTL reporters, he issued negative corona test certificates without having tested the people beforehand. For 80 euros, according to RTL, everyone gets a negative corona test certificate. Even titled as a PCR test. Even the alleged test date is freely selectable!

Apart from the test chaos, the estimated 40,000 German vacationers spent quiet days with a touch of normalcy. Until 5 p.m. on Mallorca, given a low incidence value of just over 30 pre-Corona everyday life: the shops are open. Food is served outside in bars and restaurants.

Even the requirement to wear a mask at all times has been relaxed at pools and beaches. If you keep a distance of 1.50 meters from other sun worshipers, you can remove the mask. Only the evenings are short. Bars and restaurants must close at 5 p.m. Then an early dinner stays at the hotel. There is a strict curfew after 10 p.m.

Bad luck for those who test positive. He has to sit in the quarantine hotel and is not allowed to go to the beach or home.
