Frankfurt – On the phone, he likes to answer with an education-conscious “Dr. Deusinger ”- but Stephan Deusinger (47), CDU city councilor and doctor of law, does not like to speak to BILD.
“I have a lot of appointments,” he said, pushing the conversations aside. Recall? Nothing! The local politician, who is a promising candidate for 24th place on the CDU list in the local elections (March 14), did not respond to written inquiries.
There could be reasons. Within a few weeks, the city councilor collided twice with criminal law: the Frankfurt Regional Court sentenced him to 12,500 euros in criminal tax proceedings in September – the court ordered the levy of 40,000 euros. Deusinger went into the revision.
At the end of November, his next appearance as a defendant: The district court sentenced him to a fine of 12,000 euros (120 daily rates of 100 euros) for falsifying election documents after some hair-raising contradicting statements. The city councilor had run for local council 1, although he did not even live in the district. Deusinger appealed against this judgment.
If both judgments become final, Deusinger would have a double criminal record. The Frankfurt CDU is anything but happy about this development.
