New impetus for electric vehicle charging stations in the streets of the capital. The City of Paris has selected Total Marketing France for the service concession for the extension and modernization of this park, which was put into play in 2019. This entity of the French oil group, which will ensure its technical and commercial operation, won against four other offers. A deliberation will be put to the vote of the Council of Paris next week to give the socialist mayor, Anne Hidalgo, the authorization to sign this contract.

For the municipality, this is one more step towards its objective of reducing the place of the car in the capital to only clean vehicles. “We need to create an ecosystem favorable to this change and this requires infrastructure”, explains to “Echoes” David Belliard, the environmental assistant in charge of the transformation of public space, transport, mobility, the street code and roads.
