Dresden: Telegram murder plans against Michael Kretschmer – LKA carries out a raid

Raid for murder plans against the Saxon Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (46, CDU).

In Dresden, the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) Saxony and its special task force (SEK) search several objects early on Wednesday morning. As the police in Saxony announced, the raid was preceded by murder plans against Kretschmer in a Telegram group that ZDF reported on December 7th.

According to BILD information, there are searches in a total of six objects by five suspects.

It was also said that the search warrants were being implemented on grounds of “suspicion of preparation for a serious, state-endangering act of violence”. Special forces were called in because, according to the police, “statements made by individual members of the Telegram group suggested that they might be in possession of sharp weapons and crossbows”.

The ZDF magazine “frontal” reported on the concrete attack plans in a Telegram group called “Dresden Offline Networking”.
