Now it’s official: On the weekend of Pentecost, hotels, guest houses, holiday apartments, campsites and youth hostels in Bavarian regions with stable corona numbers are allowed to reopen to tourists.
With this decision, the Bavarian cabinet implemented an announcement from the previous week on Monday. And now further details are also clear:
► Arrival at tourist accommodation is possible from Friday, May 21st.
► And: According to State Chancellor Florian Herrmann (CSU), accommodation providers are also allowed to open indoor catering and wellness areas for overnight guests.
Cable cars, river and sea shipping, tourist rail and bus services, city and guest tours outdoors as well as the outdoor areas of medical thermal baths can also be opened.
The prerequisite for the visit is a negative PCR test no longer than 48 hours old or a corona rapid test no longer than 24 hours old. The test does not apply to those who have recovered, who have been fully vaccinated and to children under six years of age.
But: Vacation options are only available where the seven-day incidence in the respective district or in the relevant urban district is stable below 100.
On Monday, a total of 37 Bavarian districts and independent cities were below this 100 value, 59 above the 100 value. How many will meet all conditions on May 21 is open.
By the way: According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the urban district of Passau currently has the second lowest incidence in all of Germany. On Monday morning it was 24.6.
Only the district of Schleswig-Flensburg in Schleswig-Holstein is even better (incidence: 24.4). You can find out here how everything will be opened in the northernmost federal state from May 17th.
