Is a forgery scandal looming in the clan process?
Berlin – Is there a forgery scandal in the clan process surrounding Bushido’s ex-manager Arafat Abou-Chaker?
There are doubts about the authenticity of a recently surfaced audio file, which is said to prove the innocence of the accused clan brothers.
Day 59 of the trial of Arafat Abou-Chaker (45) and his three brothers (40, 44, 51). The clan boss is said to have demanded several million euros from Anis “Bushido” Ferchichi (43) in 2017 for the end of their business relationship.
► The allegations: attempted severe extortion, dangerous bodily harm, deprivation of liberty, insult. According to the indictment, most of the crimes occurred on January 18, 2018. Bushido is said to have later offered over 2.5 million euros for his freedom. “I want to be involved in everything you’ve ever done musically for another 15 years,” the clan boss is said to have demanded.
Bushido testified for 25 days, wife Anna-Maria for five days. The accused, on the other hand, have been silent about the allegations for a year and a half now.
► THE ALLEGED PROOF OF INNOCENCE: An alleged audio recording of the January 18, 2018 meeting surfaced last week. The audio file was passed to the magazine “Stern”. “A sound file refutes Bushido’s statements,” judges the magazine, this “revelation” could burst the process. The clan brothers therefore sit in the dock with a correspondingly cheerful attitude.
► DISAPPOINTMENT 1: Bushido is here – and he doesn’t seem to be shaking with fear. The rapper seems tired (eight children), but determined.
► DISAPPOINTMENT 2: According to the “Stern” report, an Arafat lawyer handed the court a USB stick with the alleged audio document from January 18, 2018. But the process didn’t burst.
► DISAPPOINTMENT 3: An audio forensic expert commissioned by the court is to check whether the audio document is real or fake. Only then will it be decided whether or not it will be admitted as evidence.
► DISAPPOINTMENT 4: Bushido lawyer Steffen Tzschoppe goes on the attack. He says: “It doesn’t matter what’s on the stick – we don’t have to hear it.” At the time, there were “at least 65 illegally recorded conversations” on Arafat Abou-Chaker’s cell phone. But not this one. That suddenly surfaced after a year and a half of process. On a stick.
Tzschoppe: “Anyone who has a recording studio can fake anything.” The recording was two hours long. According to Bushido, the meeting lasted more than twice as long. The black box of a Mercedes GLS 350 that he drove at the time could prove that.
► DISAPPOINTMENT 5: Before Bushido’s lawyer lets the cat out of the bag as to whether the car is still there, a lay judge gets sick. Court medic arrives, hearing over.
But the process does not even collapse if the alderman is permanently absent: a replacement alderman is available. Next February 14th. Judgment on June 29th.
