Crosta (Saxony) – One person died in a devastating house fire in Crosta, Saxony.
The fire broke out on Adolfshütter-Straße on Wednesday evening around 8:45 p.m. for reasons that are still unclear. When the fire department arrived at the scene of the fire, the house was already engulfed in flames.
A firefighter climbed a ladder upstairs, smashed a window and found a lifeless person there. Due to the great heat, a salvage was not possible at this time.
In addition, difficulties arose during the fire-fighting operation one hour after the start of the operation, as the water network collapsed and the water had to be pumped over a long distance to the site.
“A second person reported in the house was initially missing, but has now been discovered alive in the vicinity of the house,” said a police spokesman. The police have started an investigation into the cause of the fire.
