Before the event with Foreign Minister Baerbock in Lübeck – stinking attack on the Greens election campaign

Stink attack on politicians stage!

Lübeck – It should have been a big political event, but an attack with a smelly liquid prevented a green event in Lübeck’s open-air stage. There, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (41) should have supported the Greens’ top candidate Monika Heinold (63) in the election campaign.

It turned out differently. When the stages were inspected in the morning, it stank terribly. Unknown persons had spilled a foul-smelling liquid. According to BILD information, it should have been butyric acid.

Firefighters in protective suits and employees of the explosive ordnance clearance service moved in and locked everything off. It was initially unclear where and when the liquid had been applied.

After closer examination of the open-air stage, a decision was made. “The event will not take place,” said Matthias Kissing, press spokesman for the Greens in Schleswig-Holstein, when asked by BILD. “We are sticking to the event planned for 7 p.m. in Ahrensburg.”

According to a Green Party press release, the crime scene was secured by the criminal police. A laboratory test should show which liquid it was.
