AstraZeneca: Family doctor calls for more rights after first vaccination

Anyone can be vaccinated with AstraZeneca. But: You only get your rights back after the second vaccination – and this should only take place twelve weeks after the first. Then the vacation time is almost over!

Family doctor Christian Kröner (39) from Neu-Ulm (Bavaria) demands in BamS: “Anyone who has been vaccinated once with AstraZeneca should get the same basic rights back after four weeks as someone who has been vaccinated once with Johnson & Johnson.”

The family doctor, who recently fought against vaccine waste with a petition in Bavaria, explains: “According to studies, AstraZeneca offers corona protection of 64 percent four weeks after the first vaccination. The protection provided by Johnson & Johnson is only marginally better two weeks after vaccination: 66 percent. Nevertheless, Johnson & Johnson vaccinated people get their basic rights back after two weeks and AstraZeneca vaccinated people only after three months, if they have their second vaccination. This is nonsense!”

Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer sees it similarly: “Anyone who is vaccinated with AstraZeneca should get more freedom three weeks after the first dose,” said the CDU politician of the “Berliner Morgenpost”
