Andrew Cuomo: Ex-governor of New York City: Sex Charge

He is said to have sexually molested women, groped and made suggestive comments. Now the New York ex-governor Andrew Cuomo is indicted!

After resigning on harassment charges, Cuomo has now been charged with a sexual offense. A “sex crime” lawsuit has been filed with the Albany City Court, a court spokesman said on Thursday. Cuomo is accused of sticking his hand in the victim’s blouse and grasping her left breast in December 2020.

Cuomo resigned in August, anticipating impeachment proceedings. Previously, the New York attorney general Letitia James published a report in which the governor is accused of having sexually molested eleven women. Cuomo has always denied the allegations.

“The violent touch lawsuit filed against Cuomo today confirms the findings of our report,” Attorney General James said Thursday. Forced touch is an offense that can be punished with a prison term of up to one year.

Cuomo, who came from a political dynasty, was elected governor in 2010 and has since become one of the stars of the Democrats. During the peak of the corona pandemic in spring 2020, the politician, who was praised for his crisis management, was even traded as a possible presidential candidate for his party.

He was later accused of hiding the extent of deaths in nursing homes. In addition, more and more former employees accused him of sexual harassment.
