Emmerich (North Rhine-Westphalia) – Fate often plays an important role in music. SHE could sing about it for an entire album.
Katrin Elsmann (46) from Emmerich has suffered from severe multiple sclerosis (MS) for many years, fought against breast cancer and is deaf in one ear. Despite all the strokes of fate, she never gave up – and has now released her first single plus video! The song “In this moment” was created in the recording studio of “Wolkenschloss” in Bocholt.
Music producer Andreas Lebbing (60), front man of the hit formation “Wind” (“Let the sun into your heart”): “I heard the voice, I really wanted to work with Katrin!”
The impetus was provided by Katrin’s husband Rainer (49). “He gave me a voucher for a recording in the recording studio for Christmas,” recalls the singers.
She dedicated the song to her great love: “The song describes a moment of realization, the one moment in which you realize that we only have this one life. And I want to live that as long and as intensely as I can, ”she says.
After six years of excruciating uncertainty, the self-employed property manager was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease MS in 2003. Ten years later she felt a bump on her breast – cancer! But Katrin did not give up. She fought her way back to life – and won!
The singer: “With my story I want to encourage those affected, to show them that it is always worth fighting. Even when it seems impossible! “
