Accident: moving memorial service for trucker Kevin († 28)

Hermsdorf – It is never completely quiet at the “Teufelstal” motorway service station. Yesterday afternoon the noise of the A 4 seemed to go silent for a moment …

Around 100 people said goodbye to Kevin Winkler († 28) in a moving memorial service. The young trucker from Geringswalde (Saxony) was torn from his life on April 26th in a serious traffic accident just a few meters away. He had overlooked the end of a traffic jam and crashed into a Polish truck without braking. Kevin died instantly.

The “Road Crosses” project, which gives relatives of victims of fatal traffic accidents one last stop, came into contact with Kevin’s mother, Mandy Winkler (48), and planned the unique prayer at the scene of the accident.
