Accident in Dresden: PS-Protz cuts off the electricity in the district

The chain link fence is still hanging on the body of the racing car. He couldn’t stop the 390 hp Benz.

Dresden – A man (28) raced into a transformer house near Dresden at night and cut the electricity in a district.

The German at the wheel of the Mercedes AMG C43 was on the Wurgwitzer Strasse from Dresden to Pesterwitz (Freital) on Thursday at around 10:20 p.m. “With inappropriate speed,” said a police spokesman on Friday morning to BILD.

Shortly after leaving Dresden, the PS-Protz lost control of the tuned Benz. The Mercedes plowed up the chain link fence on a property owned by the utility company Drewag.

That only limited the 390 horsepower. The Mercedes crashed into a transformer station almost without braking. The front and gable of the transformer house collapsed and the technology was destroyed. Likewise the Protz-Karre. The police estimate the damage to be more than 100,000 euros. The car alone was still worth 60,000 euros.

In terms of security, it was obviously worth the money. In any case, the person who caused the accident and his passenger climbed out unharmed from behind the ruptured airbag.

A first test for drugs and alcohol was negative. While the fire brigade was clearing up the accident site, Drewag set up an emergency supply – after the accident, several households in the Dölzschen district were disconnected from the power grid.
