A summer full of vacation, football and freedom! – Weekend of the (EM) opening!

Berlin – Germany breathes a sigh of relief! Football again. Finally vacation again. Freedom at last!

That is pure joie de vivre!

After the tough lockdown months, life is really getting going again. In line with the start of the European Football Championship, the weekend temperatures are also rising across the country – in some places even the 30-degree mark is cracked!

The cold beer at the start of the European Championship tastes particularly good. And holidaymakers on the Baltic and North Sea are also looking forward to jumping into the cold water.

Baltic Sea instead of Malle!

First, Sven Wieneke (33) wanted to spend their holidays on Mallorca with his fiancée Sarah Ratajczak (36) and daughter Mia (1). But because of Corona, the Wolfsburg-based company went to the Baltic Sea for five days. “In the meantime, Germany has good summer weather, the beaches are great,” says Sven happilyPhoto: Sybill Schneider

Sven Wieneke (33, plant mechanic), his fiancee Sarah Ratajczak (36, secretary) and daughter Mia (1 year and 9 months) from Wolfsburg spend five days in Timmendorfer Strand on the Baltic Sea. Exactly where they will get married in a month.

Mama Sarah: “We actually wanted to fly to Mallorca in June and spend our first real vacation there with the little one. But then we were unsettled about Corona. We weren’t really sure what is allowed, which rules apply where and what ultimately happens with the quarantine. That’s why we decided to go on vacation on the Baltic Sea. We are safe here and know what to expect. “

And Papa Sven explains: “Last year, due to Corona, we did not go on vacation abroad. I was on parental leave and we drove the North and Baltic Sea coasts in the Bulli. Now we are back in Timmendorfer Strand and in the best weather we sit in a beach chair. When I look around, all I can say is: it’s just as beautiful here as it is abroad. In the meantime, Germany has good summer weather, and the beaches are great. And when you walk on the promenade and through the shopping streets, you get that holiday feeling. After the bleak Corona months, people are sitting in front of the restaurants with full plates and glasses, laughing and in a good mood. “
