That used to be a real fighting game!
Against the table penultimate Essen, SC DHfK wins 26:23 (14:14). The guests get off to a better start and play in a way that is otherwise only known from the Leipzigers themselves: thanks to strong, physical defense and subsequent speed play, Essen leads 7: 4 after ten minutes and dominates the game.
After that, the DHfK will find their way into the game better and can rely on Kristian Saeveraas in goal. Before half-time, he prevented the threatened deficit with strong saves and held the draw, with which the DHfK can live well at the break.
The Leipzigers also overslept the start of the second round. After a few missed throws and technical errors, the DHfK is so quickly behind again with two hits, which leads to coach André Haber’s quick break. There the trainer gets really loud: “That pisses me off!”
Worked. A 6-0 run at 21:17 (45th) brings the lead that the DHfK saves over time.
